I’m looking through my pics to find one for today’s posting and I come across this one. Shirley was not in school yet. You can imagine how precious pictures are – since her death in 2014 all that is left is deafening silence – no new comment from her, no new photo, no “Hi Mum” phone calls. This is ache. This is pain. This year, like every
year, I put up the manger we made for her behind which she is standing in the pic. Somehow it’s getting worse – how can that be? But at the same time the comfort I get in my Father’s arms is getting more! And I remember He has promised a time for us all when
there will be no more tears.
