Seydisfjordur in Iceland delights different people in different ways – there’s Dad keeping a protective eye, there’s a passerby hardly aware of such a source of delight – and then there’s the little blond guy who knows just where and how to find delight! There are little people
all over the world who know about muddy puddles – I remember them and my Mum’s reaction! – but I wonder whether they know about another very special delight: Zephaniah 3v17 says it is God who will take great delight in you – an ongoing thing! – He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you (me) with singing. Getting to know Him like that taking His delight makes me end up delighting too – in Him.
