Little keepsake, bought in Williamsburg, Virginia, on my way to a week’s residency at Regent University, Virginia Beach. A friend put me up in Washington for a few days and then drove me all the way to the university. A friend put me up while I was staying there. A friend played taxi while I was there. Oh Lord, how wonderful the friends are that you give us. A special friend or two are now in heaven, new friends are happening, and friends will continue to walk – and laugh – and cry – and uplift us! And this is all Your idea, Lord! You give friends “that sticketh closer than a brother” (Psalms). Thank You so very much.
