Do you wonder what’s cooking? Veggy soup, always with tomato and onions? Bean stew made tasty with meaty stock cubes? Curry rich in turmeric and herbs? We can go on pondering and guessing for ever but there’s one thing that’s for sure, every such pot prepared for the hungry and helpless is richly laced with kindness. People care and reach out to help. And those who love Jesus add His love to the macaroni. After all, we are the channels through which He dishes out His love. And there are so many ways – I’m knitting beanies – not to eat of course but to keep bare heads warm in this bitter Cape winter. And I’m thinking of Roman’s 8 which claims nothing can separate us from the love of God
