True to tradition tea is served on the Queen Mary at 15.30 every afternoon. It was fun to receive scones, cucumber sandwiches and cakes and then ofcourse tea as part of the ritual. I’m sad to realize that sometimes what I do as a Christian is carry out rituals of the church and rituals of my own making. Stuff I do that doesn’t rise up out of the heart invaded by Jesus amounts to sawdust. Oh Lord, draw me closer, nearer, deeper into heart-prompted stuff!
