Anna was very old and at the age of 84 had been a widow for 7 years. “She never left the temple but worshipped night and day, fasting and praying”(Luke 2:37). Here we were in Oslo making new friends – see pics. And while I knew that my heart was not like Anna’s I did long to become more like Jesus. Actually after many years have passed I still long for that, now especially as I am more full of dithery moments and feeble attempts to touch my toes.
Psalm 92:14 encourages me for it says “they shall bring forth fruit in their old age.”
